At Body Tune Up, our mission is simple: to properly assess and treat your body. Using sophisticated movement evaluation, advanced motor-control techniques, corrective exercise and focused breathing practices, we help you relieve discomfort, recover from injury and move freely again.
We blend functional-movement science with hands-on manual therapy, sports massage, neuromuscular retraining and breathwork. Instead of chasing symptoms, we find the compensation patterns at the root of your pain — and give your body the tools to move better, for good.
From everyday aches to complex sports injuries, we treat all musculoskeletal conditions — pinpointing the source and building a clear path back to pain-free movement.
Back & Disc Issues
Herniated discs, chronic low-back pain and stiffness — assessed and unloaded at the source.
Healthy, pain-free movement rests on six interconnected qualities. We assess each one, find what's missing, and rebuild it — so your results last long after you leave the table.
01
Joint Alignment
Proper positioning of every joint, supported by a balance of mobilising and stabilising muscles.
02
Motor Control
Retraining the brain-to-muscle signals that produce clean, coordinated and efficient movement.
03
Variability
Building adaptable movement, so your body flows between positions instead of bracing or locking up.
04
Flexibility
Restoring the ability to lengthen and bend through a full range — comfortably and on demand.
05
Strength Development
Loading tissues progressively to protect joints, tendons and ligaments under real-world demand.
06
Breath & Nervous-System Regulation
The thread that ties it all together — calming the nervous system and powering every movement.
Move better. Recover faster. Perform at your best.
Massage Therapy
Educated. Science-Based. Results-Driven.
Body Tune Up brings a level of massage therapy to Koh Samui that is rarely found outside elite sports clinics and top-tier rehabilitation centres. Every session is grounded in anatomy, soft-tissue science and clinical assessment — designed not just to create relief in the moment, but to resolve the injuries, restrictions and pain patterns that keep people from performing and feeling their best.
Why our massage is different
The difference shows up the moment you're on the table. Our therapists assess before they touch — reading how your muscles, fascia, joints and nervous system are working together, then designing the session around what they find. Every technique has a clinical reason behind it, so each treatment is purposeful, precise and built around a specific outcome — never a fixed routine.
Advanced Sports Massage

Corrective Exercise Sessions

Who this is for
We work with clients who need more than relaxation — people with real problems who want real solutions:
Athletes & active individuals — managing sports injuries, overuse conditions and performance limitations.
Post-injury & post-surgical clients — who need skilled hands-on therapy as part of a structured recovery.
Anyone who trains hard — and wants to recover smarter, move better and stay injury-free longer.
What science-based soft-tissue therapy does
Applied with clinical precision, sports and medical massage produces outcomes that go well beyond relaxation:
Accelerates injury recovery — improving circulation, reducing inflammation and breaking down adhesions that restrict healing.
Restores pain-free movement — releasing muscle tension and fascial restrictions that pull joints out of alignment.
Identifies and corrects compensation patterns — before they create new injuries downstream.
Improves performance — optimising muscle function, flexibility and neuromuscular efficiency.
Provides lasting relief — treating root causes rather than chasing symptoms from session to session.

A
Sports & Medical Massage Therapist
Ael
Ael is a specialist in sports injury treatment and therapeutic bodywork, with a deep understanding of the physical demands placed on athletes and active individuals. Her work bridges traditional Thai massage and evidence-informed clinical technique — giving clients the intuitive whole-body awareness of Thai bodywork combined with the structural precision of medical massage.
Her approach begins with listening. Before every session, Ael takes time to understand what you’re experiencing — where the pain lives, when it started, what makes it better or worse. From there, she builds a treatment specific to your body and your goals. No two sessions look exactly the same, because no two bodies are.
She works with a wide range of clients: athletes managing recurring injuries, people dealing with postural tension from desk work, golfers and tennis players trying to stay competitive, and anyone who has tried massage before and wondered why the results never lasted. Ael delivers with precision, consistency, and care.
Her core techniques include deep tissue release, trigger point therapy, myofascial work, and sports-specific stretching and mobilization. She is known for the quality of her touch — purposeful, attuned, and always working toward a specific outcome.
Ael speaks fluent English and brings an ebullient, humorous personality to every session. Her energy is infectious — she has a rare ability to put clients completely at ease, cracking a well-timed joke while working deep into a stubborn knot — making even the most intensive treatment feel like an experience you’ll want to come back for.
Tanny (Thanomsri Chumsri) is a Senior Physiotherapist with over 10 years of clinical experience across some of Thailand’s most respected health and wellness institutions — including Chivasom International Health Resort, Vejthani Hospital in Bangkok, Staywellbeing and Lifestyle Resort in Phuket, and Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary on Koh Samui.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and carries advanced certifications in Neurokinetic Therapy Level 1, Red Cord, and Neuromuscular Integration and Movement Subsystem. She is also trained in TECAR therapy, Shockwave Therapy, Pulsed Magnetic Stimulation, and Therapeutic Ultrasound — modalities that accelerate tissue repair and pain resolution at a physiological level, in cases where hands-on work alone isn’t enough.
Tanny’s deep tissue and orthopedic massage work is rooted in physiotherapy science. She doesn’t simply treat where it hurts — she assesses movement patterns, identifies compensation and structural dysfunction, and designs a treatment plan that targets the actual source of the problem. This is what separates her from conventional massage: the clinical framework behind every decision she makes.
She is especially effective for clients recovering from sports injuries, managing post-surgical rehabilitation, or dealing with chronic musculoskeletal conditions that haven’t responded to other treatments. If you’ve been receiving the same ineffective treatment on a loop — Tanny offers something different: a physiotherapist’s diagnostic precision and a specialist’s hands.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before your first visit. Still curious? Just ask us.
Do I need a referral or doctor's note to book?
No referral needed — you can book directly with us. If you're managing a serious medical condition or recovering from surgery, we simply ask that you let us know in advance so we can treat you safely.
What happens in my first session?
We start with a full functional movement assessment — orthopaedic and range-of-motion testing to find the true source of your pain. You then receive hands-on treatment and leave with a clear plan and corrective exercises.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition and goals. Many clients feel meaningful relief within one to three sessions, while a full recovery or performance plan typically runs over five to ten. We'll always be honest about what you need.
Do you only treat athletes?
Not at all. We treat everyone — from competitive athletes to desk workers with neck and back pain, travellers, and anyone who simply wants to move and feel better.
What should I wear or bring?
Comfortable clothing you can move in is perfect. We'll guide you through everything else when you arrive.
